The Spur-winged Lapwing or Spur-winged Plover (Vanellus spinosus) is a lapwing species, one of a group of largish waders in the family Charadriidae. It breeds around the eastern Mediterranean, and in a wide band from sub-Saharan west Africa to Arabia.
